Scored against Arsenal, makes Premier League history, and is eligible for Portugal
More than a quarter-century later, a teenager (under-20) has hit the 10-goal mark in a Premier League season. By scoring Bournemouth's opening goal in London against Arsenal (1-2) this Saturday, Eli Junior Kroupi replicated Robbie Keane's feat, who in 1999/2000 — 26 years ago — netted 12 times for Coventry.
The forward, just 19 years old, is shining for the South Coast club and helped the Cherries upset the English league leaders, who are also Sporting's opponents in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
An Under-21 international for France, the striker, who came through the Lorient academy, is also eligible for... Portugal. Despite also holding Ivorian nationality through his father, the Frenchman can represent the *Seleção das Quinas* through his mother and grandmother, both Portuguese.
If he continues to weave his magic on English pitches, a battle between national teams is inevitable. Kroupi is in his first season in England, having been loaned back to his original club in the year he was signed by Bournemouth for €13 million — last season, he scored 22 goals for Lorient. He is currently valued at €40 million by *Transfermarkt*.
