West Ham coach plays down Super Eagles' job link

Manager of English Premiership side, West Ham United, Sam Allardyce has played down the reports linking him with the Super Eagles job.

The NFF and coach Stephen Keshi are yet to agree over a new contract and reports emerged that the Englsih man has been contacted by the Nigeria Football Federation to take over the job.

But according to Nigerian BBC reporter, Oluwashina Okeleji, Sam Allardyce has revealed that he has not been contacted by the NFF and also reiterated his commitment to West Ham.

"I presume is because Jay Jay Okocha, who played for me at Bolton and is now involved in football in that country," Sam Allardyce said of the reports.

The undefined, Mohammed Sanusi has also rebuffed the reports while speaking to the media for the first time since taking replacing Musa Amadu on Thursday.

“Sam Allardyce? I’m not aware of that. This is the first time I’m hearing this. I tell you it is the first time I am hearing of this,” he said.

The NFF and Keshi met last week and undefinedthat a contract has been agreed between the two parties.
