Sachithra Senanayake picked in Sri Lanka's one-day squad

Sri Lanka have named off-spinner Sachithra Senanayake in a 16-man squad for the first two one-day internationals against South Africa.

Senanayake was reported for a suspect bowling action in a one-day series against England last month.

He had previously been cited - and cleared - by the International Cricket Council's (ICC) biomechanical testing, but underwent further tests last week.

The 29-year-old, who has taken 37 wickets in 34 ODIs, is free to play until a verdict has been found.

Senanayake also courted controversy when he 'mankaded' England batsman Jos Buttler in a one-day international last month.

His selection headlined a big squad, designed to cover the likes of Suranga Lakmal and Kusal Perera, who are both injury doubts.

Lakmal tore his hamstring in the first ODI against England and played no further part in Sri Lanka's outstanding tour, while Perera is battling a knee issue.

Angelo Mathews will lead the side and will once again have the likes of experienced quartet Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Lasith Malinga to lean on.

The three-match one-day series begins in Colombo on Sunday. Two Tests will follow, in Galle and Colombo, later this month.

Sri Lanka sit sixth in the one-day rankings, four places below South Africa.
