Ryan Tannehill helps Miami Dolphins past Buffalo Bills

Ryan Tannehill led the Miami Dolphins to an important 22-9 NFL win over the Buffalo Bills on Thursday.

The quarterback threw two second-half touchdown passes as the Dolphins improved to a 6-4 win-loss record this season.

Tannehill completed 26 of 34 passes for 240 yards and the two touchdowns.

The Dolphins, second to the New England Patriots in the American Football Conference East, are tied seventh in the conference.

Bills quarterback Kyle Orton finished with 22 of 39 completions for 193 yards.

Field goals were the only scores in the first half as the Bills took a 6-3 lead, and Dan Carpenter extended their lead to six shortly after half-time.

But Tannehill stepped up from then on, throwing touchdown passes to Brandon Gibson and Jarvis Landry.

The Dolphins also scored on a safety as they claimed a key win.
