Robin van Persie caught a huge shark while on a fishing trip with his family but let it back into the sea

Though he seems he cannot find the net in games these days, Robin van Persie certainly knows how to hit the target when it comes to fishing according to a video posted on his Facebook page.

The 31-year in the video is seen struggling to to bring out a big In the video uploaded on his Facebook page, the 31-year-old clearly struggles to reel in the huge shark his hook had caught.

Van Persie and his family members on the fishing trip could not believe their luck as 'oh my God' exclamations were heard at the background.

When the rod eventually brings the shark, the former Arsenal man was nice enough to allow it back to freedom inside the deep blue sea.

"Our kids love to fish and haven't stopped asking to go out deep sea fishing this holiday. Unaware this was going to be our best fishing day ever!!! What a catch! Nobody got hurt and of course we released the shark," wrote on his Facebook page while also showing off his other catch.
