Rita Marley Is Now A Ghanaian!

Wife of sensational Reggae legend<strong> Bob Marley</strong> has been granted a dual citizenship. Oh yes! <strong>Rita Marley</strong> is now a Ghanaian by…erm…erm…passport?

Alpharita Constantia Anderson also known as Rita Marley or Nana Rita was handed a Ghanaian passport and dual citizenship documents to safe guard her legal stay in the West African state. This is the first time this decision has been taken for a native living abroad who has been struggling on this for so many years.

Her dual citizenship by the Ghanaian government is in connection to the Pan-African Festival (PANAFEST) Foundation and this makes Rita Marley both a Jamaican and a Ghanaian. Mind you that she was born 25 July 1946 in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba and has been living in Ghana for more than 10 years.

Why isn't she a Cuban too?
