Tosin Adeloye failed a drug test at the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Super Grand Prix/Warri Relays in Warri, Delta State on Sunday, July 24.
Following the failed drug test, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) have banned Nigeria’s 4x400m women's relay team out of Rio 2016.

Adeloye ran third leg for Nigeria as they finished fourth at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing last year.
Other members of the team were Regina Goerge (first leg), Funke Oladoye (second leg) and Patience Okon-George (final leg).
While Adeloye has been banned for eight years, all the results she achieved from the period she tested positive have also been annulled.
