In June, the 43-year-old Briton triumphed at the Circuit de la Sarthe alongside Nyck de Vries and Kamui Kobayashi behind the wheel of the No. 8 Toyota. It marked Conway's second overall victory in the world's premier endurance race, having previously won in 2021 alongside Kobayashi and José María López. Together with Kobayashi and López, he also secured FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) titles in both 2019/20 and 2021.

Beyond his endurance racing pedigree, Conway also enjoyed a successful single-seater career. The Briton made 73 IndyCar starts between 2009 and 2014, claiming four victories, including two at the iconic Grand Prix of Long Beach.
