Real Madrid has finalized another summer transfer market acquisition: 21-year-old Ghanaian center-back Oscar Naasei. Initially, he is set to play for the Castilla reserve team in the third division, but there's a possibility he could be called up to the senior squad.
The defender joins from Granada, with Real reportedly paying around 2 million euros for his services. The contract is for two years, with an option to extend to five years if Naasei is promoted to the first team.
Naasei is versatile, capable of playing both as a central defender and a right-back. He arrived at Granada's youth academy in 2023 from Ghanaian club Emmanuel City. He quickly established himself, earning a promotion to Granada's reserve team, and made his senior team debut last season. This current campaign, he featured in Granada's first two matches in La Liga 2.
In May, he made his debut for the Ghanaian national team but was subsequently not included in the squad for the World Cup.
