The 34-year-old right-back departed Real Madrid, where he won 27 trophies, at the end of last season. "Getafe have reached an agreement with Dani Carvajal through June 30, 2027," the La Liga side announced, praising the player's "leadership qualities and experience."

Carvajal rose through Real's youth academy, known as La Fabrica, and after a spell with Bayer Leverkusen in 2012, returned to the Spanish giants the following summer.
The defender was plagued by injuries for most of last season, ultimately missing out on selection for the Spain squad that lifted the World Cup.
