Former MFM star Stephen Odey to stay at Randers, signs three-year deal
Danish club Randers FC have confirmed the signing of Stephen Odey from Genk on a permanent transfer.
Odey has put pen to paper on a three-year contract that will see him stay at the club until the summer of 2024.
"Randers FC is buying Stephen Odey after he joined the club on loan this summer," the club posted.
"We are happy to announce that Randers has signed Odey from Belgian club Genk until the summer of 2024," the club added.
Odey, 23, has been rewarded for taking the Danish Superliga by storm since he joined the club from Genk in September.
The former MFM and Zurich FC star has been impressive for the modest Danish club, scoring five goals in just seven starts in the Superliga.
After a troubled start to life in Belgium, which saw him score just once in 11 appearances for Genk, following his move from Zurich, Odey joined Randers on loan last summer with an option to make the move permanent.
The Danish club is happy to take up that option to buy after Odey impressed while on loan. He has scored 11 goals in 16 matches for Randers in all competitions this season.
Odey will continue life at Cepheus Park alongside compatriots Tosin Kehinde and Vincent Onovo.
