"The manager has prepared us very well. We were extremely organized in these last two matches and created plenty of scoring chances. We were clinical and managed to score four goals," he said.

The topic of Cristiano Ronaldo inevitably came up, with Leão sharing his belief that the former Portugal captain would be delighted with the result: "That's not something for us to dwell on; we showed once again that we are a united group. I'm sure he [Cristiano Ronaldo] is at home, happy with the win. As his teammate and someone who gets along well with him, I know what he's like, and at the end of the day, the team comes first. It's three more points, we're top of the group, and now we rest and prepare for Sunday's match [against Norway]."

Following Cristiano Ronaldo's departure from the national team camp, Rafael Leão wore the number 7 shirt on the night. The Galatasaray forward admitted the occasion carried deep personal meaning: "Cris is a childhood idol of mine, and the number 7 is also special to me because it's the date my children were born. I simply tried to honor the shirt and enjoy it. The most important thing was winning the match and putting in a strong performance. I think we did a great job," he concluded.
