A week ago, many Nigerians noticed that a new man was in my life and rushed online with excitement. Some of my fans were all hyped up as they want me to be married as fast as possible. Well, here's the interesting part: I've never met the said man. I'm engaging in a social experiment, a new phenomena online rising fast in North America, so I decided to introduce the social experiment phenomenon to Nigeria.

This is when you use social media to live a real life situation in real life. Did I confuse you? Using Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to live a real situation, you may wonder how this is possible. You have seen the Muslim guys experiment in Canada, the policeman arrest in America and even the more viral Shoshanna Robert's walk through New York City in 100 hours being catcalled by several men.

It is recalled that on CNN's Anderson Cooper show, she mentioned that she had been getting rape threats after she made it public. So why will men threatening to rape her actually do it? She made it clear that she did not like cat calling and it was a form of harassment of women? It got real. Would that happen? At least she knows the minds of these people and probably won't walk that path again.

In my case, I was online earlier this year on a personality interview "What is Kemi Olunloyo about?" with popular online British TV show "Realities with Susie" when some annoying callers were flooding the line with their usual rants of not liking me.

For me, haters are fans in disguise and I care less what anyone says about my personality The only thing they really don't like is when I keep things real. Many Nigerans are born liars and pretenders.

I built a Facebook group group titled "The Love Chronicles of Mrs Oyekan" hashtagged #MrsOyekan, professing my online crush for Bayo. Suddenly all the women who wanted him now wanted a piece of the action.

Desperate Nigerian women in the UK where he lives were posting about how they too were Mrs Oyekans, some warning him to stay away from me and even some trying to save his marriage when his divorce has been final for 6 years.

Bayo and I talk on the phone daily and I know the relationship status of this fine man. He is divorced and single and extremely private. You cannot get a word out of him online. We met after a few vicious Facebook threads when people seem to be harassing me for no reason, he added.

He "rescued" me from these online predators and bullies. Then one day, I made a joke about marrying him in the next life after he displayed photos of his lovely 4 daughters, a comment about the Mrs came up from me and then he said he's not married.

Nigerian women are rushing to follow suit in what I'm doing. I am simply discovering a man I have never met with unfolding revelations till the day I meet him on my blind date. Bayo is right in front of them and they are displaying scorn. Our friendship continues in the Love Chronicles. Join me at Facebook.com/Group/MrsOyekan.

Ironically Susie, who we met on her platform, is doing a TV show on online dating which Nigerians have mixed reactions about as married men also delve into it to find girlfriends.

Try a social experiment today. Next week, I will introduce you to Nkem Blaise, a blogger social experiment.
