Lionel Messi voted 'Best Player of the Season'

Barcelona star, Lionel Messi has been voted the 'Best Player of the Season' by readers.

The poll was set up last week asking readers to vote for their choice of who they think was the best player of the just concluded club seaosn.

A slew of tops of players were shortlisted by Pulse Sports from which the readers are to vote from.

Lionel Messi came tops from the poll with 61.5% of the voters voting him as the winner.

The 27-year-old scored 56 goals as Barcelona won another historic treble-Copa del Rey, La Liga and UEFA Champions League.

Messi's rival Cristiano Ronaldo was second in the poll with 30.8% votes think he is the best player of last season.

Chelsea forwar dand PFA Footballer of the Year, Eden Hazard got 7.7% vote while the Barcelona duo of Neymar and Luis Suarez and Juventus star, Paul Pogba received zero vote.
