Readers say a wife should resign if a couple works in the same organisation

A worried couple, Akin and Ebere, have a very tough decision to make and they sought the advice of Pulse readers.

The newly married couple work in the same telecommunications company, the wife a senior manager with five times her husband's salary.

Going by the company's policy, one of them has to resign as a husband and wife cannot work in the same organisation. But Akin and Ebere are undecided on who should make way for the other.

Akin wants Ebere to resign since he is the head of the house while Ebere wants her husband to resign as she has a few more years to become a regional manager as well as advancing a career she has built over the years.

To complicate issues, the company value her services highly and would not want her to leave.
