It seems Nigerians are totally disenchanted with the famous emergency rule imposed in the three northern states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe, by the Federal Government, with the sole purpose of tackling the Boko Haram insurgents that has its strongest hold in the states.

Instead of the insurgents to be chased out of the towns, they have grown in leaps and bounds, going ahead to bomb and kill the people with reckless abandon, kidnap at will and zoom into the cities and imposing their authority. The government has always been at a loss on what to do to curb them, leading to many agreeing that the emergency rule has failed woefully.

A whopping 97.4% of Nigerians agreed that the emergency rule has failed, leaving a mere 2.6% optimists who believe the government was right in taking the decision in the first place and that it has not failed.

This is what Nigeria says:
