What do you think would be different about a world run by book lovers? This question was asked on goodreads.com. The comments of over hundred people will give you the blue print of how readers think and what this world would have turned to if don’t have readers who are leaders in every sector of human race.

What do you think would happen if you know as much as you know now? Will you start your business, will you enrol for that class, do you think your family would live much better and how will your relationship with others turn out if you know more?

The two qualities I discovered and I don’t know maybe you also noticed is that all successful leaders are knowledge seekers and doers. Have you asked yourself why do they read, what makes them read and does your bank of knowledge outgrow any of those people?

The effect of reading with total understanding gives you the confidence to shine, it drives out fear and it makes people want to listen because you have the information, which is your passport to leadership and the right application will make you an expert in your field.

There was a man I met at work last week; apart from the way he dressed (simple and classy) Mr.  Lanre Iyana’s passion for books (Information) is endearing and electrifying that one cannot miss the aura once you come across him and it’s the same with every successful leader, which can be highly stimulating.

Recently, I bought a book titled ‘Built to Last’ by James C. Mollins and Jerry I. Porrasand ‘Good Great’ by Jim Collins on www.egoleshopping.com for Mr. Iyana and while we were in a meeting, he shared a little insight about both books. You cannot be around people with depth and lack the necessary tools for success. You will not believe this! while writing this post a lady came to my desk saw the book ‘Built to Last’ and asked where she could get a copy and also a book titled ‘The Curious Mind: The Secret To A Bigger Life’ by Brian Grazer and Charles Fishman. I showed her the books on the site.

“The reality is we are in a world driven by information and we must strive to get as much as we can. Reading is about passion and discipline, you can always develop passion for anything. A book I love to read (One of the holy books) says “as a man thinketh in his heart; so he is”; by extension it means if you can think about it, you can do it or achieve it.” Mr. Iyana pointed out.

From my observation, readers are not selfish you can never be around a reader and be bored. They don’t know all but they know a little about everything and that makes them stand out from people who don’t know at all. Reading is the only ability that is common to every living being where ever they are, it can be developed and will show case itself in your everyday life.
