The evening breeze sweeping around smelt nice. When was the last time the land was this quiet with no men to give instructions or care for. It had being a week since all the men left for war leaving the women and children to themselves. Yes, she missed her husband but she couldn't deny the fact that this freedom was enticing.

She picked her bathing bucket from the kitchen floor and filled it with running water. It was time to have her bath. Sleep had being the order of the day this past week. There was at least no husband to please and therefore no much work to do.

Heading to the back of the compound, she dropped her bucket on the floor. She felt more comfortable bathing outside than she did in the enclosed and hot bathroom. Who was looking at her anyways?! There were no men around to feed their eyes on her body.

She poured the first bowl and felt her nerves lighten up. The water had a sweeter feel today than other days. There was nothing to hide. Since the men had gone to war, she could bathe comfortably in the open. What she didn't know was that the eyes that guided Israel was watching from above. He not only fed his eyes, but also fed hisdesires. And of course, He wanted more!****************************    Consumed by lust, Dave paced around his palace. He peeped again and there she was. Still bathing. Could someone tell her she was killing him gradually? Why had he chosen today of all days to lounge in his palace's rooftop? If he hadn't gone up there, he wouldn't have seen her. She was too beautiful to ignore, even with his eyes shut, he could draw her without missing a thing. Every curve and line would be forever implanted in his memory.

"Zeruba!" He called"Yes my King!""Come with me" he took Zeruba to the roof and showed her the woman. "Who is she?""Isn't that the Sheba, the wife of one of your faithful soldiers,Uriah?""Bring her before me Now!"***********************The knock on her door was definitely not a woman's. Women didn't knock with such fierceness and strength. Sheba got hold of the nearest cloth in sight and opened the door. Facing her were armed uniformed men. What had she done to warrant such unfriendly visitors? Had something happened to her husband? The thought alone frightened her.

"The king requests to see you" the tallest of them spoke."What exactly is the problem? Is there something wrong with my husband?""Madam you are keeping The King waiting!" He threw back.

She picked her purse and in no time was standing before the King of Israel; Dave Kiona, right in His bedroom.

"My king, you sent for me?" She tried to hide her fear but her voice betrayed her."I sent for you because I want you." It wasn't until she felt his hands on the curve of her back, that she realized the intensity of what he meant.  "I want you sheba. Please lay with me"

The desire in his eyes coupled with the way her nerves responded to the feel of his hands crippled her."But my king, I am a married woman and my husband would be upset ifhe...." The feel of his soft lips on hers shut her up.

Before she could resist, she was kissing him back. There and then, they did it. And God watched. He would definitely get punished in due time. A month later,  Dave got a letter that marked the start of the punishment."I am pregnant!             -Sheba"
