Kid Konnect, the ace producer has always been one to embrace the genre. With an extensive catalogue of great music across major and fusion genres, the man has been driving music, serving as a go-to music maker for best acts in the industry.

“Small Chops” is a new venture. One which if properly executed will serve as a conduit for new music to be delivered to the public from Kid Konnect.

According to the producer, it a monthly 4-track producer EP with a different featured artist on each project. Rappers Show Dem Camp (Ghost & Tec) are the featured guest for this month's episode. The idea sprung from the popular small chops delicacy. Small Chops are actually very popular appetizer/finger food items containing 4-5 snacks in a pack; hence the idea of a Mini-EP of only 4 songs.

And like the food itself, this is a delicious EP. Konnect brings on the best from his collaborators, as Ghost and Tec are muscular on the Trap-influenced ‘Standard’, with Konnect’s synth-heavy production forming the backdrop against which SDC drop hard bars about ‘trying to make money, trying to make pay’.  ‘Oliseh’ is another pacy jewel, Moti Cakes fires in a hook, which dovetails with the group, while creating a banging radio single. There’s introspection on ‘Bushido’, but it takes a reggae direction on the conscious ‘Sunday’, where SDC combine with Sir Dauda, Myst, and Pires.
