PSG to Rest Dembele and Mendes for the Champions League

Paris Saint-Germain duo Ousmane Dembele and Nuno Mendes have been granted extra time off following an agreement with the head coach and the club's sporting management, PSG announced in an official statement.

Both players are scheduled to resume training over the weekend of October 10-11.

This marks the second time this season that PSG have given Dembele additional rest. On August 28, the winger missed the 2-2 away draw against Lille in Ligue 1 Round 2 after being handed a six-day break.

During the 2026/27 season, the 29-year-old Dembele has made seven appearances for the Parisian side across all competitions, registering two goals and four assists. The 24-year-old Mendes has featured in five matches.
