PSG star Neymar claims referee said something ‘disrespectful’ to him during Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Napoli

Neymar had an argument with Kuipers after he was booked in second-half stoppage time of the game.

Neymar played the whole 90 minutes but failed to spark as Paris Saint-Germain failed to grab all the three points.

After the final whistle at the Stadio San Paolo, Neymar got into an altercation with the referee Bjorn Kuipers.

“The referee told me something he should not have  It was disrespectful,” Neymar said.

“I do not want to repeat what he said to me. However, somebody high up should do something.”

It is not known when the alleged incident happened but Neymar had an argument with Kuipers after he was booked in second-half stoppage time.

Neymar also had several arguments with the referee was seen been held back and calmed down by teammate Kylian Mbappe.

“He cannot be as disrespectful as he was with me,” Neymar added.

“On the pitch, we are asked to show respect towards the referees. We should get the same in return.”

Paris Saint-Germain are yet to lodge an official complaint against Kuipers.

Kuipers has been a listed referee since 2006 and officiated in the final of the 2014 Champions League between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

He was also in charge of the 2018 Europa League final between Atletico Madrid and Marseille.
