She talks about her learning experiences, relating with MI and other industry mates.

“Life in Chocolate City was a learning experience” , I feel like it was basically just prepping me for what I needed to do.”

On leaving Chocolate City, Pryse says “ It’s amicable, I’m still in good terms with everybody at Chocolate City, I know they wish me well and I wish them well.”

Explaining why she went on to float her own label, the rapper believes women need to do more as much as they can, and she’s always had that entrepreneurial spirit. Also, she tells Pulse that her elder brother had always wanted to start a record label, and it felt like the right time, which led to the formation of I.C.O.N music group.

She speaks on the industry not particularly being fair to women in music, as she advocates for more women empowerment, and the need for her women folks to put themselves more out there across all walks of life.
