Premier League heavyweights Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea are all monitoring Freiburg striker Igor Matanovic, according to reports from CaughtOffside. Scouts from all three clubs have been closely tracking the 23-year-old Croatia international since the start of the 2026/27 campaign.

Matanovic's impressive form quickly caught the eye of the English giants after he bagged six goals in his first seven appearances across all competitions.

Each suitor has distinct motives for a potential swoop. Arsenal missed out on an out-and-out number nine over the summer and view the Croatian as ideal competition for Kai Havertz. At Old Trafford, Manchester United are looking to bolster their attacking depth amid Benjamin Sesko's fitness issues, while Chelsea continue to stick to their philosophy of snapping up promising young talent.

Matanovic joined Freiburg in July 2025. While his price tag stood at around €35 million in the summer of 2026, his blistering start to the season has prompted the Bundesliga outfit to raise their valuation to €58 million. By comparison, Transfermarkt currently values the striker at €30 million.
