It was a good day at the office for the big boys as Arsenal, ManchesterUnited and City all got the three points in Premier League games played on Saturday, January 2.

Arsenal remain top of the league with a labored win over Newcastle at home at the Emirate Stadium.

Laurent Koscielny was the man who got the winning goal as the Gunners niced a 1-0 win at home.

Wayne Rooney grabbed the winner for Manchester United as they beat Swansea at home 2-1 to ease pressure off coach Loius Van Gaal.

Manchester City beat Watford away with goals from Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure to close in on second place LeicesterCity who could not beat Bournemouth at home.
