Valencia and Panathinaikos are set to clash in the EuroLeague quarterfinals after the Greek team secured a play-in victory over Monaco at home.

Following their recent encounter in Valencia, where the Spanish side dominated with a 102-84 victory, a war of words erupted between the two coaches during their post-game press conferences.
The verbal sparring continued this time around, with Martinez responding to Ataman ahead of the series opener.
Even if his resume is better and he's a better coach than me, that won't be enough to beat us. They'll need to bring more to the table.Pedro Martinez
Before Martinez's comments, Ataman had addressed the media, suggesting that Valencia boasts a superior coach this season.
They (Valencia) have a better coach this season. My performance this season hasn't been enough, so far. Now we'll see how far we go.Ergin Ataman
The two teams will play their first two games in Spain on Tuesday and Thursday, before the series shifts to Athens. A potential decisive fifth game would be played in Valencia.
