The Portugal national team held their final training session this morning (afternoon in mainland Portugal) ahead of their crucial World Cup 2026 Round of 16 clash against Spain. Once again, Roberto Martínez had a full squad at his disposal.
Approximately 24 hours prior, the 'Seleção das Quinas' had trained in Toronto, but have since returned to the United States, specifically Dallas, the venue for Monday's Iberian derby. In Canada, the session began without eight of the eleven starters, including Cristiano Ronaldo, but that was not the case this Sunday.
As on the previous day, Portugal received significant fan support, albeit in a more subdued manner this time. There was also a large media presence, with around 200 journalists attending the training. The coach's press conference, featuring a player alongside him, is scheduled for later.
