NPFL leaders thrash Gombe United 5-1

Plateau United grabbed a crucial away at to open up a five-point lead at the top of the table.

Peter Eneji grabbed a brace while Elisha Gombe, Kabiru Umar and Emeka Umeh also added a goal each.

Mannir Ubale scored Gombe’s only goal.

MFM FC returned to winning ways, grabbing a 1-0 win at home against Shooting Stars.

Shinshinma Monday scored his first NPFL goal to give MFM FC the win which takes them to second on the table.

Defending champions Rangers ended a run of three games without a win by beating Akwa United 1-0. Bright Silas netted the only goal of the game.
