Formula 1's official tyre supplier, Pirelli, predicts that today's Singapore Grand Prix will be a one-stop race for the field, though potential Safety Car interventions could heavily influence strategies.

According to data from the Italian manufacturer, the optimal strategy for the 62-lap race is starting on soft tyres before switching to mediums. The exact timing of the pit stops will depend on potential race neutralisations, which have become rarer in Singapore in recent years after an unbroken streak of at least one Safety Car appearance per race until 2024.
"In our view, the soft compound is the most intriguing option for the race start, which could well be dictated by Safety Car periods. The extra grip provided by the softs should make them the preferred choice off the line, while low degradation could allow drivers to stretch their opening stints in anticipation of a timely neutralisation. For the second part of the race, the medium and hard tyres offer relatively similar performance, although the medium compound has the edge in terms of grip. At this stage, we do not expect two-stop strategies, as they would be roughly ten seconds slower than the one-stop alternatives," explained Pirelli programme manager Dario Marrafuschi.
