Arranged Muslim marriage turns sour

A 30 year-old Somalian man Mohamed S. Abdullahi, is being held in Police custody, for allegedly raping his would be wife.

Sources say the young girl was kidnapped and raped by Mohamed, after her family entered into a formal Islamic marriage agreement-Nikah, with the accused.

According to foxNews, the girl, in a bid to escape from the arranged marriage, ran away, but came back 15 days later to finish her studies, only for Mohamed to kidnap her and carry out the barbaric act.

Fox10News featured an eye witness account of the incident. Trina Childs, a witness, said: "I saw some guys carrying a girl in, so I ran over to the front and they threw somebody and that girl in this house, and all of them just walked out."

The young girl is said to be between the 18 and 19 years old.

Mohamed has since been arrested, and is being held without bond. He is accused of hurting his arranged bride.
