Thief steals honour bat kept for Australian Batsman's tribute

Video footages from a security camera in from Australia show a man stealing a bat which had been left for Phillip Hughes’ tribute.

The man is seen walk to the gate of the Sydney Cricket Ground where the bats were laid in the #Putoutyourbats tribute.

Another man also disclosing that a bat that had been in his family for 37 was stolen by thieves, describing it as “kicking over someone’s headstone, that’s basically what it is."

New South Wales Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione said: “It just doesn’t make sense. As Australian as the game of cricket is, stealing someone’s bat is as un-Australian as it can get.”
