The Gunners have been heavily linked with the 33-old goalkeeper who wanted to leave Chelsea in search of first team football.

Cech according to reports preferred to stay in London because of his family and have now joined Arsenal.

The 33-year-old is the first summer signing of Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger who is looking to strengthen his side to mount a serious title challenge.

David Ospina will reportedly make way for Cech's arrival to Turkish giant Fernerbahce.

Cech spent 11 years at Stamford Bridge and former teammate John Terry believes the signing will be huge for Arsenal.

"If they (Arsenal) do get Pete he's going to strengthen them, for sure, and save them 12, 15 points a season," Terry told TalkSports.
