The 32-year-old spent a season on loan from from Liverpool at the Serie A club there during the 2013/2014 season.

After his contract with Liverpool expired, Riena joined Bayern Munich last summer, signing a three-year-contract.

The Spaniard has however been released from the contract after he asked for it.

Having made just two two Bundesliga appearances for Pep Guardiola's side as understudy to Manuel Neuer, Reina is joining Napoli in a bid for regular football.
