The Black and Whites needed a spark. As is often the case, they always struggle in "Stožice." This held true for the first three quarters, but Sheyk Milton showed exactly why he was brought in. The American went on a 13-point scoring run in the final period, ultimately securing the victory for Đoan Penjaroja's squad. This win snapped the Black and Whites' three-game losing streak across all competitions and guaranteed them home-court advantage, at least in the ABA League semifinals.
The Black and Whites' coach emphasized that Partizan resolved their issues on the fly and that this was a crucial victory.
"A significant win for us after three consecutive losses. It's important for our fight for the top spot in the championship. It's never easy to play here; we had problems in the first half. Cedevita Olimpija didn't have many offensive rebounds, but they punished us every time." - Đoan Penjaroja
The Spaniard concluded by noting that discussions during halftime, between the second and third quarters, focused on improving rebound defense.
"It was similar with turnovers. We talked at halftime about needing to improve that and pay attention. We weren't much better from three-point range in the second half, although we did improve it to some extent. In the end, we celebrated." - Đoan Penjaroja
