Former Newcastle United goalkeeper, Pavel Srnicek has been laid to rest in his home town of Ostrava, Czech Republic.
The funeral of 47-year-old held on Monday, January 4 with some of his former teammates from both club and country present.
Former West Ham keeper Ludek Miklosko with Czech star Pavel Nedved, and ex-Newcastle players Steve Howey, Steve Harper and other former teammates were all present.
Srnicek diedafter suffering a heart attack while out running on December 20 and was placed into a induced coma by doctors but his life support machine was turned off nine days later.
It could be recalled that Newcastle United players wore t-shirts in memory of Srnicek and took part in a minute's applause during the visit to Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal.
Newcastle fans have been able to leave messages of condolences for the late goalkeeper at St Andrew's Church, which is close to St James' Park.
