Partizan basketball players departed for Istanbul on Wednesday afternoon, arriving in a city hit by torrential rainfall and flash floods.

The black-and-whites face Fenerbahce this Thursday at 19:45 CET in Round 6 of the EuroLeague. The Serbian club confirmed to Sportal that all players are safe and settled in their hotel, with a flight delay being the only setback they faced.

Their flight from Belgrade experienced a delay of just over an hour, but the team landed safely despite previous flights being diverted.

Heavy rain and strong winds were lashing Istanbul upon arrival, but the hosts organized seamless transport to ensure the squad reached their hotel without issue.

Penarroya: I believe we can turn our shooting around

Partizan head coach Joan Penarroya looked ahead to the upcoming clash, discussing the squad's current form and the challenges they face.

"We just came off another extremely tough contest. In the EuroLeague, getting wins is everything, and we are going up against a team built for the Final Four. Games like this demand absolute focus and collective effort. It's bound to be a very demanding matchup, and we must deliver a top-tier performance." — Joan Penarroya

A major talking point was the team's three-point efficiency, which slumped in their previous two outings. The Spanish tactician remains confident his squad can correct course in Istanbul.

"It's obvious that our shooting percentages took a hit in the last two games, particularly from beyond the arc. When you play against elite opposition, you cannot afford to miss open looks and expect to win. Still, I firmly believe we can turn that around in Istanbul and deliver a much better display," Penarroya stated.

Asked about potential roster reinforcements, the Partizan coach was quick to dismiss the topic.

"I have no news on that front. That's not a question for me," Penarroya said with a smile.

Finally, the black-and-whites' head coach provided an injury update ahead of the trip, revealing that one player remains a major doubt.

"Lamar Stevens was dealing with stomach issues overnight, putting his availability for this road trip in question. I'm waiting for the latest medical updates," concluded Penarroya.
