The Crystal Palace full-back was airlifted to the hospital after the crash and it was revealed that a broken thighbone will keep him away f.
In a new photo shared on his social media, the 26-year-old is seen smiling to the camera with the caption “Step by step #Dieuestaucontrol #Godisincontrol #thanks #everytingiseveryting.”
He also released a statement on Tuesday, September 27 thanking his fans for their support after the car crash that got him hospitalised.
“My family, my professional family, my family of friends, my family of supporters and fans; here and everywhere. Your prayers, messages, calls, pictures, banners and all other kind gestures are really touching and appreciated. It keeps me going,” he said.
“I will come back stronger for you guys, for us.”
He is set to miss the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations due to his broken thighbone from the car crash.
Fortunately for him, there was no significant long-term damage sustained.
