Own Goal Sends Monaco to the Top

Monaco has climbed to the top of the French Ligue 1 standings after securing a home victory against last season's runners-up, Lens.

Paris Brunner put the Monegasques ahead in the 32nd minute, but Mathieu Udol equalized for the "Blood and Gold" after the break. The match appeared headed for a draw until the 84th minute when Jonathan Gradit scored an own goal, handing the hosts the win.
