In a meeting at FRSC National Headquarters, Abuja, the FRSC Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi, was very vocal against this traffic violation.

According to Boboye, overloading increases the level of fatalities in accidents, hence, the need for vehicles, especially trucks, e.t.c, to stop this dangerous practice.

He appealed to leaders of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) and National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) to help in the fight against overloading.
