VP meets committee tasked with ending herdsmen crisis

The committee was set up during a meeting of the National Economic Council in January.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently chairing a meeting to deliberate on how to bring an end to the recent spate of killings carried out by suspected herdsmen in the country.

The meeting is taking place at the Presidential Villa with several state governors in attendance.

Adamawa State governor, Jibrilla Bindow; Ebonyi State governor, Dave Umahi; Plateau State governor, Simon Lalong; Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai; and Zamfara State governor, Abdul'aziz Yari are all in attendance.

The committee was set up during a meeting of the National Economic Council in Abuja on January 18, 2018.
