Struggling Osasuna have sacked head coach Luis Miguel Ramis and reappointed fan favourite Jagoba Arrasate, who managed the side until two seasons ago.

Ramis lasted just eight matches at the helm, picking up eight points. Under the former Real Madrid player, Osasuna started brightly with seven points from their opening three games, but failed to win any of the following five. The final straw came with a heavy 5-2 defeat against Real Betis last weekend.

Arrasate now returns to take charge on a contract running until 30 June 2029. The tactician is a bona fide Osasuna legend, ranking second in all-time matches managed for the club with 257 games between July 2018 and June 2024.

Arrasate will make his second debut in the dugout this Sunday against Santander.
