Nigerian player OrokAkarandut has won the 2015 Bahrian Super Cup with his club Al Hidd.
Al Hidd beat Al-Muharraq 5-4 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 in regulation time.
Orok played full time while two other Nigerian players Uche Agba and Ifedayo Omosuiyi were substituted.
Akarandut who scored one of the penalties for Al Hidd said this Super Cup success will serve as morale booster for the team.
"I feel excited about it. It's my first time of playing in the Super Cup and I won it. I give God all the glory,” the former Akwa United striker is quoted to say by .
“The victory means a lot to me and the entire team because it will serve as morale booster for us to win more trophies this season."
The striker has now won three trophies with Al Hidd after winning King's Cup and Bahrain Federations Cup last season.
Akarandut it could be recalled was the highest goalscoring in the Nigeria Professional Football League in 2009.
He scored 17 goals that season equaling the NPFL goalscoring record.
In a chat with Pulse earlier this year, Akarandut revealed that he believed that he was robbed from breaking the record.
The 28-year-old who was then playing for Akwa United star equaled the record of 17 goals with four matches to go but could not score another goal.
"I'm not trying to raise another issue here but I actually scored a goal in the last game but it was dissallowed by the referee for offside," Akarandut said.
When asked if he thinks he was robbed, the striker said: "I will leave at that."
