In a formal complaint submitted to EuroLeague management, the Piraeus-based club highlighted the inappropriate and offensive behavior of Panathinaikos supporters.
Particular attention was drawn to controversial banners and derogatory chants from the stands, which Giannakopoulos later shared on his personal Instagram account.
Olympiacos emphasized that such actions amount to outright defamation, insults, and disrespect aimed at the club and head coach Georgios Bartzokas.
"Completely false and defamatory claims are being presented as fact—specifically, that our team was allegedly involved or complicit in criminal offenses related to basketball match-fixing involving referee Vaso Karoucha, and that our team was favored or benefited from those alleged actions," Olympiacos BC stated.
In addition to addressing the EuroLeague, Olympiacos also took action before the Greek league authorities, submitting four social media posts containing serious allegations against the club.
