Hosts Las Palmas were beaten at home 1 – 2 in a La Liga fixture, However Etebo who was in action for all 90 minutes praised the fans for their support.

On his official Twitter account, Etebo posted of a picture of him in the game along aside a statement which said, “Not the result we wanted but we will march on. Yesterday was a very close game and our supporters were amazing once again  #EK6.”

The game between Las Palmas and Sevilla also saw Etebo’s compatriot Imoh Ezekiel make his debut for Las Palmas.

Etebo who was invited for the Super Eagles friendly games, played his third game since he moved on loan to Las Palmas.

Etebo declared he did not come to Las Palmas to sit on the bench, and has backed up his statement with impressive performances.

Etebo and Imoh will hope to get a better result when they travel to Leganes on Saturday, February 24.
