Onazi spent five years in Italy playing for Lazio before leaving to join Trabzonspor in Turkey.
After just a year in Turkey, Fiorentina are ready to splash the cash on the 24-year-old to bring him back to the Serie A.
To do that, they must meet the €5m which the Nigeria international is valued by Trabzonspor.

According to Turkish outlet, Fiorentina have already had a bid below Trabzonspor’s valuation of the player turned down.
They are however ready to return with an improved bid.
The new Fiorentina manager Stefano Pioli was Onazi's coach at Lazio and with current Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia on the verge of joining AC Milan, Onazi could be his direct replacement.
For Trabzonspor this season, Onazi made 30 league appearances, scoring two goals. He played a further four games in the domestic cup.
