The Disciplinary Committee has handed Vinicius Junior a four-match suspension following his red card against Villarreal for pulling Nathan Saliba's hair. The ban means the Real Madrid forward will miss upcoming La Liga clashes against Sevilla, Barcelona, Racing Santander, and Valencia, keeping him sidelined until after the November international break.

Referee Isidro Diaz de Mera included both the reason for the dismissal and an additional altercation following the incident in his match report. VAR alerted the referee to the clash, prompting an on-field review before Vinicius was sent off.

According to the committee's ruling, the Brazilian forward was given a two-match ban for violent conduct against Saliba, alongside an extra two-match suspension for his furious protests against the referee's decision.

The fact that the ball was out of play worked heavily against Vinicius; otherwise, the initial ban could have been limited to a single match. In addition, the referee's report highlighted "aggressive conduct" from the Real Madrid star, noting that his teammates had to physically restrain him.

Real Madrid are set to appeal the ruling.
