Carvajal had finalized personal terms a few days ago and successfully passed his medical. An initial obstacle emerged regarding La Liga's salary cap, which temporarily delayed his registration. However, the situation was resolved after Getafe president Angel Torres submitted a bank guarantee to the league, securing the necessary financial clearance.

The defender, who has earned 51 caps for Spain and enjoyed a glittering career at the highest level of European football, now begins a new chapter in the south of Madrid.

Carvajal boasts an impressive collection of 29 major trophies won with Real Madrid's senior squad and the Spanish national team. His standout honours include six Champions League titles as well as European Championship glory at Euro 2024.

Carvajal racked up 451 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid, contributing 16 goals and 66 assists, before his contract with Los Blancos expired this summer.
