Ighalo opened the scoring in Manchester United’s 2-1 win at Norwich on Saturday, June 27, 2020, in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup win.

It was just a case of being in the right place at the right time, using his right foot to play the ball over Tim Krul just six minutes into the second half.

The 31-year-old is the running for that award alongside Anthony Martial’s trio against Sheffield United, Harry Maguire’s winning strike against Norwich City, Mason Greenwood’s opener versus Brighton and Bruno Fernandes’ second versus Brighton are also in the running for the award.

If he gets the award, it will be Ighalo’s second Goal of the Month award after the one he won in March.

It’s been good so far for the Nigerian at Manchester United where he has scored five goals in four starts.
