Super Eagles striker speaks on brace against Liverpool
Nigeria international Odion Ighalo insists that there is nothing special about his brace against Liverpool.
Ighalo scored in the each half as Watford defeated Liverpool in Sunday, December 20 Premier League fixture.
The Watford frontman has gotten has praises from all quarters after the brace but he insists there is nothing special about them.
“I thank God for giving me the grace to score two goals against Liverpool,” the 26-year-old striker told MTN Football.
“I see nothing special about scoring against Liverpool, it’s the same feeling for scoring goal and it doesn’t matter against which team.
That brace takes Ighalo’s Premier League to 12 continuing the good form from last season in the Championship.
He however refuses to set a goal target for himself choosing to face each game as it comes.
“Last season I never set a target and this season I haven’t either. I will never set myself a target as then I put pressure on myself. I want to keep going game by game,” he said.
“When the team wins a game that is the most important.
