The new contract will see Edwards remain in Parramatta until the end of 2019.

Edwards, 26, has played over 40 games for the Eels since debuting in 2013.

"I am happy that we have been able to get this done. I am thankful that the club has stuck by me and given me another three years," Kenny Edwards said.

"I had no hesitation in re-signing – I love the place and I want to stick around here."

Eels coach Brad Arthur added: "After returning from an ACL injury, Kenny has been one of our most consistent performers in 2016 and I am pleased he has committed to the club for the long term.

"It's a great outcome that more and more of our players are committing long term to the Club and I am sure our supporters will see the benefits of this in 2017 and beyond."

The Eels - second from bottom in the table - host the St George-Illawarra Dragons on Monday.
