Nottingham Forest has officially announced Oliver Glasner as their new manager. The Austrian replaces Vítor Pereira, who becomes the latest coach dismissed by owner Evangelos Marinakis. While the club hasn't specified the contract length, English media reports suggest a three-year deal. Glasner, who won the FA Cup and the Conference League, is Forest's fifth manager in the last 12 months.

The 51-year-old Glasner is set to become the second-highest-paid manager in the Premier League, trailing only Mikel Arteta. According to "The Sun," the Austrian will command an annual salary of £13 million.

"I am delighted to join Nottingham Forest as head coach. From my initial conversations with the owner and the leadership team, it was clear they have a strong vision for this football club and full confidence and belief in me and my staff to build a strong long-term future together. This trust and shared commitment, along with the potential I see in the squad, were key factors for me, and I am excited about what we can achieve together.

Nottingham Forest is a club with incredible prestige and history, a two-time European champion, and boasts one of the most passionate fan bases in football. Our goal is to build a team that can help the club reach the next level in the coming years and one that our supporters can be proud of.

My immediate focus is on meeting the players and staff and getting to work as we begin pre-season training. I am excited for the future and will work tirelessly to represent this great club with pride and bring success on the pitch. I can't wait to get started," Glasner stated on Nottingham Forest's website.

His move to the City Ground is unlikely to be well-received by Crystal Palace fans, as there has been significant tension between the two clubs over the past year. This stemmed from UEFA's decision to send Nottingham Forest to the Europa League at Crystal Palace's expense. "Eagles" fans protested, claiming the decision was due to Marinakis's money and connections, and unfurled an offensive banner directed at the Forest owner.
